BOOKS ARE STILL COOL!

Hello all avid readers. As we near the end of this patriotic month for Latvia, the book we have on offer is by Pulitzer Prize winning author C.J. Chivers – The Fighters. This book, coupled with guest speaker Commander of the Latvian Land Forces, Colonel Ilmārs Atis Lejiņš, who has front line experience wherever Latvian soldiers have been dislocated since the Latvian Army was reborn, should make for an excellent after reading discussion. First timers are welcome as well!!!

A bit about the book from the New York Times:

Pulitzer Prize winner C.J. Chivers’s unvarnished New York Times bestseller is a chronicle of modern combat, told through the eyes of the fighters who have waged America’s longest wars: “A classic of war reporting…there is no downtime in this relentless book.”
