The Department of State, U.S. Embassy Riga requires customized Group Health Insurance services for employees and their dependents.

The Embassy of the Unite States of America in Riga, Latvia is launching a solicitation for providing Health Insurance Services to the locally hired employees and eligible family members of the U.S. Embassy located in Riga, Latvia. The anticipated performance period is for a base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror who is a responsible contractor. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price with economic price adjustment requirements type contract under which will be issued firm fixed price task orders. The estimated number of current employees is approximately 137 with approximately 202 eligible dependents for health insurance. Please note the numbers are only estimates.

If the quote for the multi-purpose vehicle purchase exceeds 30, 000 USD, the potential contractor is required to obtain a DUNS number from Dun and Bradstreet, and a NCAGE Codes from NATO. Once a DUNS number and NCAGE Codes are obtained, registration in SAM (System for Award Management) is required before an award is made.

The U.S. Embassy in Riga, Latvia, is seeking to identify qualified insurance firms that are interested in providing Health Insurance Services to an estimated 137 local employees, and approximately 202 eligible family members of the U.S. Embassy Riga, Latvia.

The anticipated performance is for one base year period of twelve months and four one-year periods at the option of the Government.

The solicitation will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at www.fbo.gov under the “Business Opportunities” section, in July, 2018. The awardee will be required to speak, write and comprehend English.
