DUTIES

The incumbent serves as Housing Inspector and assistant to the Realty Assistant in charge of Housing. Is in charge of managing all housing inspections – annual, pre-departure, make ready, and final move-in inspection. Assists in planning, organizing and managing all aspects of the Housing Office. Coordinates with landlords and contractors on housing repairs. Provides some clerical/administrative support for leasing and assists with housing assignments. Supervises all housing records in various data bases for accuracy, keeps housing list, housing view spread sheet, work order status spreadsheet, and Real Property Application (RPA) systems up to date. Suggests improvements to make section run efficiently.

DUTIES

The incumbent of this position provides security protection based on rotating shifts to safeguard U.S. Government property and personnel. The duties include:

  • Controlling the Embassy’s surroundings on walking patrol. Preventing parking of unauthorized vehicles around the perimeter of the Embassy.
  • Controlling access to the Embassy’s driveways.
  • Inspecting private and official vehicles and their cargo for dangerous items.
  • Performing mobile patrol security and emergency response to all Embassy residential facilities.
  • Preventing entry of unauthorized personnel or vehicles to the territory of U.S. Embassy.
  • Ensuring security at the public events, organized by the Embassy.
