Books Are Still Cool!

Hello avid readers. For February, which is also Black History Month, Books Are Still Cool took a road trip to Daugavpils where we read Toni Morrison’s Pulitzer Prize winning Beloved. Our special guest and major fan of the book, George Steel e gave the reading group in Daugavpils deep insights into African-American culture.

For March, Women’s History Month, Books Are Still Cool is back in Riga and we have on offer a #1 New York Times bestseller – Reading Lolita in Tehran by Azar Nafasi. (117 weeks on the NY Times bestseller list and winner of the 2004 Non-fiction Book of the Year Award from Booksense.
