Riga, March 19, 2014 – Today, Major General Gregory Vadnais of the Michigan National Guard arrives in Latvia for a four-day visit. During his stay, MG Vadnais will meet with officials from the Ministry of Defense and the Latvian Special Operations Unit. MG Vadnais will also participate in the ceremony for the Latvian Raising of the Patrol Ship “Rēzekne” on March 20 in Liepāja with Lieutenant General Raimonds Graube and Defense Minister Raimonds Vējonis. His visit will highlight the close cooperation between the United States and Latvia through the 21 year State Partnership Program with the Michigan National Guard.
