Riga, June 30, 2015 – On Thursday, July 2, at 17:30, the U.S. Embassy in Latvia will celebrate its 239th anniversary of independence at its annual Independence Day reception for invited guests at the Latvian Society House.
Hosted by Chargé d’Affaires Sharon Hudson-Dean, the event will take place at the Latvian Society House’s Big Hall (Latviešu Biedrības nams; Merķeļa Street 13). Chargé Hudson-Dean will address the gathering, and the U.S. national anthem will be sung by American country musician T. Graham Brown. In addition, the U.S. Army Europe Dixieland Band and the Latvian National Armed Forces Orchestra’s Clarinet Quartet will perform. Credentialed media representatives are welcome to cover the celebration.
