Riga, August 5, 2015 – A delegation of U.S. Congressmen from the House of Representatives led by Representative Rob Wittman will visit Latvia August 5-6. The delegation will also include Representative Madeleine Bordallo, Representative Bill Flores, Representative Robert Pittenger, and Representative Kenny Marchant.
While in Latvia, the delegation will meet with parliamentarians and with officials from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defense, Interior Affairs and Economics. They will engage with civil society representatives and tour the Corner House (Stūra māja). Additionally, the Congressional delegation will visit Ādaži Military Base to observe training and meet with U.S. and Latvian troops. This visit is part of a larger regional visit, which will also include stops in Poland, Estonia, and Belgium.
