Riga, August 15, 2016 – U.S. Congressional Delegation from the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations led by Representative Kay Granger will visit Latvia on August 15-16. The delegation will also include Representative Steve Womack. This visit is part of a larger trip, which will also include stops in Germany and Kuwait.
While in Latvia, the delegation will meet with the representatives of the Parliament, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Defense.
U.S. Representative Kay Granger represents the 12th Congressional District of Texas. She currently serves at the Committee of Appropriations where she leads the Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs, and is the Vice-Chairwoman at the Subcommittee on Defense. She is also a member of the Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development. She is also a senior member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Representative Granger has served in Congress since 1997.
U.S. Representative Steve Womack represents Arkansas’s 3rd congressional district. He is a member of the Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government, and Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing, and Related Agencies. Womack is also a member of the Republican Study Committee. Representative Womack has served in Congress since 2011.
