The United States Embassy acknowledges the significant steps that the Latvian Government has taken to combat money laundering and to respond to the Moneyval recommendations. We welcome the thorough and deliberative process of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), which has recognized Latvia’s actions and progress. Much work remains, and the United States remains committed to supporting Latvia’s continuing efforts to strengthen its anti-money laundering regime and fight corruption.
